The Jimmy Eat World Weekend: Pews

Description:
The orgel (Translation: Organ) that stands proud by The Altar of Saint Joseph was made and transported to Jakarta from Belgium. It was installed in the Cathedral in 1988. During the many times I’ve visited this Church, I’ve only heard it being played a few times.
One of my earliest childhood memories about the Gereja Katedral Jakarta is the large paintings of the previous Archbishops that flanked the walls around the Southern side of Church. They have been removed since, perhaps for restoration purposes. I haven’t seen them back on the walls, though.
My friend and I headed back to South Jakarta after that to fetch the Jimmy Eat World concert tickets and have dinner. The excitement brewed gradually with every bite of Japanese pasta and frozen yoghurt. Our dinner conversations mostly covered photography techniques, the potential of tomorrow’s concert photos, how far we would be from the stage, and the songs we hoped they would perform. We anticipated a gig of epic proportions, and we would be right.
Stay tuned!
