It is the beginning of the end. The adaptation of the final book of the “Harry Potter” series took off towards the end of 2010 by releasing the first installment of the two-part film. Darkly beautiful, but nonetheless sad, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” prepares fans of Harry Potter for the inevitable farewell.

August Rush (2007)

“August Rush” is a pleasant story about the endurance of faith, the courage to pursue one’s dreams, and the universal power of music — on paper, that is. Unfortunately, there is much to be desired in terms of its translation into film.

Inception (2010)

Reviewing Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” is difficult, because the film offers so much in its 148-minute run. Starring a wonderful cast, and equipped with a solid story based off the simple concept of dreams, it is both action-packed and a mindtrip, though ruminating the entire the film would be an eternal task.

Little Ashes (2009)

“Little Ashes” is a film that attempts to provide answers for the ambiguous but tragic relationship between two prominent creatives, Federico García Lorca and Salvador Dalí. The result is short of glorified tributes, and merely concentrates on being a story about forbidden love. If anything, it’s nice to see Robert Pattinson take on a role that doesn’t look like he just accepted it for the money.
